Freedom Rentals rents construction and industrial equipment. This policy explains what the Freedom Rentals phone app collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email, mobile phone number, your company's account, and a password and PIN (stored scrambled; we can't read them).
• What you do in the app: rental requests, call-offs, service requests, hour meter readings, jobsite delivery pins, notes and photos you send.
• Location: only when you use a feature that needs it, such as dropping a delivery pin. Employees' location is also saved with each clock in and clock out and with deliveries. The app does not track your location in the background.
• Photos: only the photos you take or pick to send (machine condition, damage, deliveries, truck inspections).
• Notifications: if you allow notifications, a notification address for your phone so we can send you updates.
• Equipment data: location and engine data from trackers on our machines, tied to the rental.

How we use it

To run your rentals: deliveries and pickups, service, billing, invoices, and keeping machines and jobsites safe. We send notifications and emails about your rentals and your account. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising. There are no ads or third-party trackers in the app.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run the app for us: Amazon Web Services (our servers and database, in the United States), Expo, Apple and Google (to deliver phone notifications), our email provider, and Anthropic (when an employee asks the Tech Team Mate a question about a machine). We may share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

While you have an app account. Records of rentals, invoices and payments are business records your company and we must keep for accounting and tax purposes.

Deleting your account

In the app, open Account and tap Delete my account, or see how to delete your account.

Security

The app talks to our servers over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Passwords and PINs are stored only in scrambled form.

Children

The app is for businesses and their employees. It is not meant for children under 13.
